Pushing the boundaries

by | Oct 2, 2023

Most Christians I know hesitate to push the boundaries.

They’re more inclined to conform than challenge established norms.

And they often believe being a good Christian means not making waves.

But…

Pushing boundaries was part of God’s design from the beginning.

When the Lord put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, it was just the starting point.

Once the first couple mastered their calling in the Garden, they were to expand the blessings of God downstream.

The Fall brought chaos to the scene.

But God’s basic plan remained.

And He sent Jesus to redeem mankind for its fulfillment.

Christ even spoke of pushing the boundaries in His last words on earth…

When He promised the coming of the Holy Spirit and told His followers…

“… you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

So…

Don’t be afraid to push the boundaries — for the sake of God’s kingdom.

Start by bringing the values of the kingdom to your own Jerusalem — i.e., personal life, family and home.

And work out from there.
