There’s a lot in life that can demoralize a man.
Personal failures…
Hard knocks…
Unfulfilled dreams…
A culture that diminishes men…
These can all make a guy want to give up.
But, here’s the good news…
You can overcome the onslaught of all that might demoralize you when you are strong in your identity.
And this strength comes by remembering…
You are made in God’s image to fulfill the purpose He has for you.
You’ve been redeemed by Jesus Christ, who continues to form you into His likeness.
And you are part of a community of called-out ones, commissioned by God to remake the world.
In short…
Your identity is not defined by what is coming at you…
But by the one who made you and is at work in in you.
And from that place the Spirit gives you all you need to serve His purpose with hope and strength.
‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing…” (Rom. 15:13).
