One way to look at your role in this world is as a special agent.
As a special agent, you are accountable to God for the mission He has for you.
And, you are responsible for those who can benefit from your mission.
The question you may ask in response to this is:
Okay, so what is my mission?
The answer begins with God’s general commission to rule, be fruitful and cultivate the world with Him (Gen. 1:28; 2:15).
But it goes beyond that…
To include the unique good works God has ordained for you to accomplish as His workmanship (Eph. 2:10).
May God help you live with a sense of mission today and throughout this new year…
As the Spirit helps you discover how to bring your gifts to bear on your world.
This is what it means to live out the gospel.
Because the good news is about a whole lot more than feeling good about being forgiven.
It’s about being free to serve Him and others without shame as His special agents.
