Content but not complacent

by | Feb 26, 2024

People often confuse contentment and complacency.

Both have the idea being satisfied.

But complacency lacks any impulse to change circumstances for the better.

While contentment is virtuous in the way it often expresses itself in less than ideal circumstances.

So distinguishing the two, we should strive to be content, but never complacent.

Just as the Apostle Paul…

… who learned to be content in every situation, while always expending himself for the advance of the Gospel.

So where do you need grace to find contentment today?

And where do you need it to expend yourself further?
