The older I get the more I realize how important it is to spend your life in God’s will.
There just isn’t time to mess around living outside of it!
So what is the quickest way to get yourself living in His will?
It’s always to trust and obey Him.
Anything else will only cause delays.
Adam chose not to trust and obey and mankind has been stumbling around getting back on track ever since.
Israel did the same when fleeing Egypt, and wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.
And only God knows how much time I’ve spent learning lessons that could have been mastered long ago if I only trusted and obeyed Him more.
Oh, how often we think we have just the shortcut to get where we need to be sooner!
When the most direct path is to trust and obey.
At times this course may seem slow, hard and twisted.
But trusting and obeying Him is always the best way to go.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
~Proverbs 3:5-6
