From the beginning, God established a simple hierarchy for all creation:
GOD > MAN > NATURE
On the basis of this hierarchy, God commissioned mankind to multiply and rule over what He has made (Gen. 1:28).
This is known as the dominion or creation mandate.
But when mankind falls into unbelief, disorder disrupts God’s hierarchy, causing it to function like this:
MAN > GOD or NATURE > MAN
In this state of disorder, God’s purpose goes unfulfilled and mankind suffers.
A key aspect of Christ’s redemption is restoring us to God’s hierarchy, allowing His intended blessing to permeate the world.
