There are a lot of shifts taking place in our culture right now.
One major shift has to do with the greater acceptance of masculine roles and energy than we had even a week ago.
This shift is a good thing. It’s long overdue.
Yet welcoming male energy will need tempering and direction too, so it serves as a constructive force for good.
How do we do this?
How do we forge ahead in a way that is full of grace and truth, for the good of others and the way of God’s kingdom?
Jesus already told us when He gave His commission to “make disciples of all nations.”
A disciple is someone who is learning how to apply all of Christ commands to all of life.
This requires something more than ‘living by grace’ and ‘abiding in Jesus.’
It involves wrestling with issues, having conversations, challenging assumptions…
And ultimately leads to living with a point of view that is grounded in the Bible.
This is not done easily or accomplished overnight.
But it’s what our moment needs.
And it’s what Jesus commanded us to do.
