The relational path to godly understanding…
I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more I realize I need wisdom.
The good news is, wisdom is a skill we can acquire.
But unlike most skills—like changing a tire—acquiring wisdom is deeply relational.
The essential starting point for growing in wisdom is walking with God–who is personal.
We must get wisdom from Him!
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10).
But that’s not all…
We also grow in wisdom by surrounding ourselves with wise people—those who fear the Lord and walk in His ways.
“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise” (Proverbs 13:20).
In other words, wisdom is passed on through relationships. It’s a community dynamic.
Bottom line, if you want to grow in wisdom:
1. Walk with, listen to, and obey God. Make this your priority!
2. Get some wise friends and spend time with them.
Growing in wisdom is not a solitary journey.
