When an average Joe takes a stand

by | Oct 16, 2024

You never know what God will do when an average Joe take a stand.

He might just use him to change a nation.

Just look at Joe Kennedy.

Kennedy, a high school football coach, was suspended after refusing to stop praying mid-field after games.

According to Kennedy, his praying was a personal expression of faith protected under the First Amendment.

He believed the issue was so important that he contested his suspension in the courts.

In taking this position, Kennedy followed the examples of Moses, Daniel, Esther, Paul and other biblical characters who faithfully took a stand for what was right.

Ultimately, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Kennedy’s favor in June, 2022.

This overturned the Court’s 1971 Lemon decision, opening the doors for greater legal protection of religious expression than we’ve had for over 50 years.

This victory reminds us to use the freedoms we have to the fullest.

Freedoms we enjoy because an ordinary man chose not to compromise.

You never know what God will do when an average Joe takes a stand.
