Babel, Global Power, and Your Local Faithfulness

by | May 29, 2025

Proud, unbelieving defiance will always fail…

The story of the Tower of Babel teaches a crucial principle:

God opposes centralized systems built on unbelief—and He always will.

At Babel, people united to “make a name for themselves” and build a city without God.

But He scattered them, frustrating their plans.

Why?

Because His design was never for humanity to cluster in proud defiance.

He told us to fill the earth, trust Him, and steward it faithfully.

That principle still stands today.

Don’t fear that a godless global elite will take over the world.

They may scheme, but they won’t succeed.

Centralized, unbelieving systems always collapse under God’s judgment.

Instead, recognize your part in God’s plan.

He advances His kingdom not through top-down control, but through faithful men in ordinary places—like your home, workplace, church, and community.

That’s where God wants you to stand firm and live out your calling.

Your local faithfulness matters.

Jesus said the meek—those submitted to God—will inherit the earth (Matt. 5:5).

That includes you, as you walk with God in the place He’s planted you.

So don’t retreat.

Don’t obsess over headlines.

Be faithful where you are.

God’s purposes will prevail through His people.
