In the chaos, draw near…
Let’s be honest—when life gets busy, God often gets crowded out.
Deadlines, stress, family pressures… before you know it, prayer fades, Bible reading slips, and spiritual practices are put on hold.
We don’t make a conscious decision to ignore God—it just happens in the chaos.
But here’s the irony: the very moments we feel too overwhelmed to seek God are the moments we need Him most.
When you’re under pressure, you need His strength.
When you’re unsure, you need His wisdom.
When you’re weary, you need His rest.
When you’re anxious, you need His peace.
As Psalm 73:28 summarizes it, “It is good to be near unto God.”
We were never meant to do life alone.
And abiding in Christ isn’t optional for believers—it’s how we live and grow.
Jesus said:
“Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).
Don’t wait for life to slow down before you draw near.
Instead, make it your habit—especially in the chaos—to turn to the Lord.
It’s in the pressure that roots grow deeper.
And it’s in the overwhelm that dependence bears fruit.
Stay near.
Abide.
And watch what He does in you and through you.
