Flip the Script

Your challenge might be the key to your calling…

At 7 feet 8 inches tall, George Bell was known as the tallest man in America.

As a kid, he felt awkward and out of place.

But with the help of his mother, George flipped the script.

He began to see himself and his situation differently.

Eventually, he became a sheriff’s deputy, using his unique presence to serve, connect, and protect.

And what once made him feel odd became part of his purpose.

The Bible is full of similar ‘script-flipping’ stories:

Joseph was betrayed and imprisoned—but God used it to save lives (Gen. 50:20).

Moses had a speech impediment—yet God called him to lead a nation (Ex. 4:10–12).

Paul was chained in prison—yet his letters still shape the world (Phil. 1:12–14).

Even Jesus was “despised and rejected by men” (Is. 53:3)—but God raised Him up and gave Him the name above every name (Phil. 2:9).

God has a way of turning weakness into strength.

What others dismiss, He redeems.

What we might resent, He may want to use.

So what’s your oddity, challenge, or story?

God may be using it to move you into your purpose.

So don’t hide it or resent it.

Flip the script and use it for good.
