God created you for a life of fruitfulness.
This is evident from the very start of the dominion mandate, which commands us:
“Be fruitful…” (Gen. 1:28).
But to produce as God intends we must guard against overconsumption.
Especially in our culture, where consuming is effortless…
Whether it’s through food, media or entertainment.
The danger is, when we’re consuming we’re not creating.
Some consumption is necessary–for nourishment, enrichment, and refreshment.
But when we overconsume, we underproduce.
So keep your consumption in check to generate a harvest for God’s kingdom.
And be intentional about what you consume, ensuring it leads to greater fruitfulness.
If you’re unsure about how God wants you to be fruitful, focus on following Jesus in your everyday life.
As you do, He will guide you to areas where you can yield the greatest harvest through your gifts and opportunities.
“… He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; without Me you can do nothing” (Jn. 15:5).
