What their story means for you today…
One of the country’s greatest airshows is in town this week, and it’s got me thinking about the Wright brothers.
Back in their day, experts said human flight was impossible—that it would take a million years before men could soar through the skies.
Yet today, billions fly every year, thanks to two bicycle mechanics from Ohio who refused to accept limitations.
Wilbur and Orville Wright didn’t just dream of flight…
They studied birds, built wind tunnels, tested gliders, and faced repeated failures.
They persevered, too, launching the first controlled, powered flight on December 17, 1903.
Their story is a picture of the dominion mandate—God’s call in Genesis to subdue the earth and develop its potential.
The Wright brothers didn’t invent the laws of aerodynamics; they discovered and harnessed them.
In the same way, God has hidden treasures in this world for those willing to seek, imagine, and build.
What if Wilbur and Orville had given up?
How much of God’s world remains unexplored because men stop short of what He’s given them to do?
Whatever domains God has given you—in business, family life, ministry—pursue them with curiosity, ingenuity, and perseverance.
You never know what God might accomplish through you.
Where is He calling you to take initiative today?
