From His victory to ours…
The Bible calls Jesus a forerunner (Hebrews 6:20).
In ancient times, this was a military term for those who went ahead of the army to secure safe passage.
As our forerunner, Jesus has opened the way for us to live in God’s presence—both now and for all eternity.
But not only that…
As forerunner, He claimed His inheritance as the possessor of the nations (Psalm 2:8).
And He prepared the way for us–as His joint-heirs–to rule with Him (Romans 8:17, 2 Timothy 2:12).
All of this was secured through Christ’s death, resurrection, and ascension.
And in His victory, He has claimed you as His own…
… and given you as a gift to the world, to have a renewing influence (Ephesians 4:7-8).
Let the truth that He reigns as Savior and Lord give you confidence.
Be assured by faith that His presence is with you.
And follow Him boldly—our forerunner leads the way!
“…To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” (Rev. 1:5-6)
