Learning and passion will never be enough

by | Jul 22, 2024

When Moses saw the burning bush, he was curious about the miracle happening before him (Ex. 3).

But God had a message for Moses in the glory of those flames.

He wanted him to know it would be the Lord Himself who would sustain him in the dark days ahead.

Moses’s learning and passion would not be enough.

Instead, it would be the presence of the One who was with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that would carry him.

With this assurance, the Lord commissioned Moses to confront Pharaoh and deliver the sons of Israel from their Egyptian bondage.

Let us thank God for the similar assurance He has given us for today.

Like Moses, we too may face dark days ahead…

Days too overwhelming to withstand in the strength of our own intellect or emotions.

And in the midst of it, He may give us work to do or a mission to accomplish that seems impossible.

Yet, as with Moses, He promises to be with us.

No matter what the circumstances or times, God’s plan to transform and disciple the nations will continue.

And as you carry out your own part in this plan, you can be assured He will be with you always (Mt. 28:20).
