My wife and I just watched one of our sons graduate.
There are always a jumble of thoughts and feelings that come at such events.
Such as…
Nostalgia for the past.
Gratitude for a child’s accomplishment.
And even sadness as you think of missed opportunities.
But one thing especially stands out…
Time is marching on…
And there is no way to stop it.
This can be scary.
But it can also be good as it creates urgency…
To learn all you can from your life so far…
And resolve to be faithful and make the most of where you are TODAY.
In this respect…
We must, as the Apostle Paul demonstrated…
Forget what lies behind and press forward to what lies ahead (Phil. 3:13).
Life is moving on.
