Life can be complicated.
And when it gets complicated, it easily becomes stressful, draining, and joyless.
But life becomes simpler when you live as a man under orders.
And that is exactly what you are!
This idea goes all the way back to the beginning…
… when God commissioned humanity to rule and cultivate the earth with Him (Gen. 1:28).
And the call to live under orders continues all through the New Testament…
… revealing that we are not just free agents but servants, soldiers, and stewards in God’s kingdom (Gal. 5:13; 2 Tim. 2:3; 1 Cor. 4:2).
So then…
Enjoy the simplicity of living as a man under orders.
Figure out what God wants you to do in your circumstances–and do it!
“… whoever serves, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen” (1 Pet. 4:11).
