But the cross comes before the crown…
You were made for glory.
Scripture makes this clear.
“…those He justified, He also glorified” (Romans 8:30).
But so often we chase glory the wrong way.
We focus on achievement, visibility, and the approval of others — hoping they’ll see, recognize, and praise us.
But God’s way is different.
And it’s marked by the cross.
This week, as we reflect on Christ’s road to the cross, we’re reminded of the pattern He set:
Glory comes — but only on the other side of surrender.
“If anyone would come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me” (Matthew 16:24).
The path to the life you were created for isn’t through self-promotion, but self-denial.
Not by grasping for glory — but by trusting the One who gives it.
Pause and remember:
The path to glory runs through the cross.
Let His way be yours.
