How Christ’s birth has changed the trajectory of the world…
When the Bible calls Jesus the Savior of the world, it means much more than the personal salvation of individuals.
His mission is cosmic in scope, addressing the brokenness of all creation.
First, Jesus came to restore creation.
God created the world good (Genesis 1:31), but sin corrupted it (Romans 5:12).
Through His work, Jesus will heal and renew all things, freeing creation itself from decay (Romans 8:19-21; Revelation 21:1-5).
Second, He came to defeat evil.
On the cross, Jesus triumphed over sin, death, and the devil (Colossians 2:15; 1 John 3:8).
When He returns, all evil will be destroyed forever (Revelation 20:10).
Third, Jesus came to reconcile humanity.
His mission isn’t limited to individual lives but includes reconciling people from every tribe, tongue, and nation into one family (Revelation 7:9-10; Ephesians 2:13-16).
Finally, Jesus came to establish God’s kingdom.
He inaugurated a kingdom of true justice, peace, and righteousness (Mark 1:15; Isaiah 9:6-7).
One day, this kingdom will fully reign over the new heavens and earth (Revelation 11:15).
So Jesus is more than just a personal Savior.
He is the Redeemer of the entire cosmos… and has already changed the trajectory of the whole world.
This truth gives hope.
Jesus is restoring, defeating evil, and building His kingdom—right now.
As His followers, God calls us to partake in this mission by reflecting His love as we serve in His Name.
