Possessions with a Purpose

Using your stuff to do good, extend God’s kingdom…

Everything we “own” belongs to Someone else.

That’s not just a mindset shift. That’s reality.

“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell in it.”
—Psalm 24:1

God is the Creator and rightful Owner of all things.

So our money, house, vehicles, clothes, tools and all other assets are not ultimately ours. They’re His.

This means we’re not autonomous agents building individual empires.

We’re stewards entrusted with the Master’s resources.

And, as the Bible tells us…

“It is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”
—1 Corinthians 4:2

What does faithfulness look like when it comes to our stuff?

  • Managing well whatever God entrusts to you
  • Using what you have wisely, and for the good of others
  • Employing your resources to extend His kingdom

When we think of our possessions in this light, it’s not just stuff. It’s opportunity.

Everything we have provides a chance to reflect God’s order, goodness, and generosity.

God has put you in a unique place to use whatever you’ve got.

And whether He’s given you a little or a lot, put it to good, strategic use–with the help of His Spirit.

Faithful stewardship of what you have now is where dominion begins.

Start there today.

“His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion endures from generation to generation.”
—Daniel 4:3
