Socialism has made vast inroads in society over the past years.
Even in the church.
This has largely happened in the name of compassion.
But I believe every true Christian must reject socialism.
And the reason is simple…
Socialism presents itself as an alternative way of redemption to the one we find in the Bible.
It’s often assumed socialism is just an economic system, and a neutral one at that.
But it is really much more.
It’s a mechanism of redemption–without God, faith or Jesus Christ.
As you see this, rejecting socialism is easy.
Scripture tells us salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
“… there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
To encourage people to find redemption apart from faith in Christ is neither compassionate nor true.
And this makes rejecting socialism the loving thing to do.
