Resisting wokeness

by | May 8, 2024

Recently I heard a business owner tell how he kept his 500 employee company from going woke.

This is quite an accomplishment, as most companies that size eventually become hotbeds of virtue signaling, identity politics and intolerance of facts.

So how did he do it?

He created a culture of responsibility and accountability.

And it worked wonderfully.

By repelling wokeness and rewarding those who apply themselves, the company is thriving–with good morale too.

There’s nothing outlandish about this leader’s approach.

It’s grounded in a fundamental biblical principle:

Personal responsibility.

This principle goes all the way back to Adam.

Jesus addressed it in the parable of the talents.

And we see it also in Paul’s words that ‘a man reaps what he sows.’

The principle of personal responsibility still applies today.

And if you want to resist wokeness…

… in your family, church or any organization you are a part of…

… one of the best things you can do is encourage a culture of responsibility.

“For each one will bear his own load…” (Galatians 6:5).
