The older you get the more you realize you want your time and effort to count.
But how do you assure this with so many options in life…. and so many choices to make.
Jesus addresses this when He says…
“… he who abides in Me, and I in Him, he bears much fruit” (Jn. 15:5).
Here Jesus gives away the secret to the most fruitful life possible:
It’s to abide in Him.
Which means…
Stay connected to Him… by way of prayer and obedience — constantly.
This is the stunningly straightforward secret to a meaningful life.
Yet we tend to forget or ignore it.
So consider…
You can try and figure life out all on your own in your own head.
Or…
You can have an ongoing conversation with the Lord of the universe and let Him lead you.
I have know doubt…
At the end of our days…
Those who choose the latter course will have experienced the most fruitful existence.
… And the most joyful.
“These things I have spoken to you that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full” (Jn. 15:11).
