God calls us to trust, not control…
From the very beginning, God designed us to depend on Him.
He’s made this plain since the Garden of Eden…
There Adam and Eve faced a test—not an intellectual one, but an ethical one.
The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil stood as a constant reminder: they were meant to rely on God, not themselves.
God made them to trust and obey their all-knowing Creator.
But they wanted more.
They wanted to be like God, to take control, to remove the need for trust.
And ever since, we’ve been doing the same.
We chase certainty. We demand answers. We want to be in control…
So we stress and grasp.
But God didn’t create us for autonomy—He created us for dependence.
There’s a place for growing in knowledge and understanding, for sure.
But our greatest need is to know Him–and keep that first.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says…
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
You don’t have to know everything.
You don’t have to figure it all out.
What we need is to trust and obey the One who knows all things.
Grow in knowing Him today.
That’s where true wisdom lies.
