Where Do We Go From Here?

by | Sep 11, 2025

Courage and purpose in dark times…

Yesterday, Christian and conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated. Like many, I am shocked, saddened, and angered.

Let us respond in prayer:

-Pray for Charlie’s wife and children.

-Pray that his assassin is swiftly arrested and receives biblical justice

-Pray for mercy on our land and a spiritual awakening

Many are wondering…

Where do we go from here? What comes next for our nation?

Only God knows.

But we can hold fast to this:

The true light of the world, Jesus Christ, still shines—and the darkness will not overcome it

God’s redemptive plan continues. His kingdom will fill the earth. And we are part of that story

And, this chapter of history compels us to respond.

I. Engage the Battle

We are in a spiritual war.

Evil is real, and good is real too.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness…” (Eph. 6:12).

Do not hesitate to call evil what it is.

And don’t shrink from doing good.

Commit yourself to serve as a faithful soldier of Christ Jesus—overcoming evil with truth, righteousness, and prayer.

II. Rise in Courage

When evil rises, it’s tempting to retreat.

But the cost of silence is far greater than the cost of action.

Real men rise to meet the moment.

You are a leader in your domain, and God has equipped you for it.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear” (2 Tim. 1:7).

“Be strong and courageous” (Josh. 1:9).

Step forward. Speak truth. Act faithfully.

III. Deploy Your Gifts

We all have different gifts.

Charlie Kirk used his on a large stage.

Most of us work in obscurity—but faithfulness matters in every sphere.

By Christ living in you, your small acts can have mighty impact.

So use your gifts—your unique abilities, your time, whatever assets you have—for God’s kingdom.

Do not hoard what He has entrusted to you.

From Death to Life

After hearing the news, I recalled Jesus’ words:

“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit” (John 12:24).

May this tragedy bear fruit for God’s kingdom.

And may it challenge you personally to:

-Assess where you are in your life

-Shake off any apathy or fear

-Pick up your cross where He calls you

-Engage the battle

-And let your life bear fruit for many

Even in darkness, God is at work—and you are part of His story.
