And you can acquire it…
Men often think wisdom is something you either have or you don’t.
But Scripture reveals it’s a skill.
Bezalel, the craftsman who built the tabernacle, was filled with “wisdom, understanding, and knowledge” (Ex. 31:3).
His wisdom showed itself as skillfulness.
In the same way, the ability to wisely build your life, nurture your family, and use your gifts in the world calls for skill—and any man can grow in it.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Prov. 9:10).
That’s the starting line—reverence for God, submission to His authority, and trust in His ways.
But it’s not the finish line.
We develop wisdom through practice.
You listen. You obey. You get corrected. You learn to discern.
Over time, your judgment gets sharper. Your steps get surer.
You stop reacting, and start ruling.
Jesus said the wise man is the one who hears His words and does them (Matt. 7:24).
That’s wisdom applied.
So don’t wait for age or experience to make you wise.
Work on getting wiser now.
Ask God for a heart that fears Him.
Apply what you already know.
Let His Spirit train your judgment in the real situations you face every day—and watch your skill increase.
Wisdom starts with fear of the Lord, but it grows through faithful action.
