“I believe; help my unbelief!” (Mk. 9:24)
Cynicism is a constant adversary.
It’s always seeking to get you to doubt and disbelieve.
To think nothing will change.
So you quit hoping.
And trying.
But Jesus shows us the spirit of cynicism is wrong.
Because He brings change.
Even great reversals…
That are good, great and glorious.
Like when He launched His kingdom.
Overcame darkness with light.
And was raised from the dead.
Jesus has already conquered all that cynicism represents.
And its lies.
Since He reigns, He is the antidote to cynicism today.
Giving us reason to get up and move forward.
Always asking, seeking and knocking.
With hopeful hearts.
Don’t let the cynical voices of our age keep you from doing the good God has ordained for you.
“You are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 Jn.4:4).
