Living a Life of Consequence

by | Feb 25, 2026

Your choices have more weight than you think…

Apparently there’s a new trend among some teenagers.

It’s called the door-kick challenge.

Teens kick in a stranger’s door — sometimes masked — and run away treating it like a prank.

But to a homeowner, it doesn’t feel like a joke. It feels like a threat.

This happened not far from us.

A teen in a ski mask kicked in the door of a former Marine — supposedly for fun.

But it could have got him killed.

This trend reveals a deeper problem.

Many are living with little sense of consequence. They don’t think of the effect of their lives.

Actions are treated as momentary, harmless, and disposable.

But real life doesn’t work that way.

Scripture is clear: we reap what we sow (Galatians 6:7).

Choices have weight.

They shape character, affect others, and eventually return to us.

Men must recover this awareness.

Your choices affect the trajectory of your life, the stability of your family, and the tone of your community.

Carelessness brings harm. Faithfulness brings strength, protection, and blessing.

So live as a man of consequence.

Your life is not neutral.

What you do matters — and the effects of your choices will outlive the moment.
