There’s a growing fear that Artificial Intelligence — or AI — will rule the world.
But it will not.
No doubt…
AI has become extremely powerful in its ability to quickly synthesize information.
And it keeps getting more capable at accomplishing time-consuming, labor-intensive tasks.
But it is still just a tool — with no soul, personality, or ability to think conceptually or morally on its own.
In fact, without the proper inputs or prompts, AI is as smart as a shovel.
God has made mankind… in His image… to rule over the works of His hands (Ps. 8:6).
And since Tubal-cain forged the first piece of metal (Gen. 4:22), this rule has involved the development of technology.
As technology becomes more advanced, so does our need to think and pray about how to use it responsibly.
So no, AI will not rule the world.
But its growth does force the question…
How should we use all the technology available to us?
For good and not evil?
This, of course, reveals the need to build up faithful men…
Who are equipped to cultivate and protect in a way that benefits people and glorifies God.
And that’s what our ministry, Made for Dominion, is all about doing.
So to wrap up…
Don’t fear AI.
But do fear God.
Because as we live in godly fear, He will lead us how to use our technology — including AI — rightly.
‘The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom…’ (Pr.9:10).
