Welcome to the ‘Age of Agency’
With the advent of AI, the world is changing rapidly.
We’re shifting from what’s been known as the Knowledge Age to what’s being called The Age of Agency.
In the Knowledge Age, advancing in education and accumulating information was what mattered most.
But now, with AI, information is instantly available to everyone.
So being smart is no longer the prize it once was…
What matters now is agency—the ability to decide, act, and adapt with the knowledge we have.
This change may seem overwhelming at first.
But here’s the good news: as believers, we’re in a great position to embrace this shift.
The Christian life has always been about more than just knowing the right things…
It’s about faithfully doing what God shows us.
As Jesus put it, real blessing comes not from knowing certain things, but from doing them (John 13:17).
This can actually be freeing… you don’t have to know everything.
Instead, you can focus on walking with God and trusting Him to show you what you need to know and what you need to do.
And we can all get in the habit of asking Him to increase our agency as we face new choices.
So, while the world is changing, don’t let it unsettle you.
See it as an opportunity to trust God and rely on the Spirit.
God still has a place for you. And with Him, you can adapt and thrive.
