What kind of men can sustain a free nation?

Freedom requires faithful men…

As America approaches its 250th birthday, here’s a question worth asking:

“What kind of men can sustain a free nation?”

We often look to Washington for answers, but Scripture points us somewhere much closer to home.

Freedom requires self-government. And self-government begins with your identity.

A man who doesn’t know who he is is easily manipulated by the latest trend, fear, or political movement.

But a man who knows he was created in the image of God, redeemed by Christ, and entrusted with responsibility becomes a stabilizing force wherever God has him.

He governs himself before trying to govern others.

He leads his family with conviction, serves his church faithfully, works with integrity, and invests in his community.

His influence extends far beyond his own life because biblical dominion begins within, and works its way outward.

If America is to flourish for generations to come, our greatest need is not better politicians or better policies. We need faithful men who understand their God-given identity and purpose.

America’s future will not ultimately be secured in Washington.

It will be strengthened in homes, churches, businesses, and neighborhoods by men who know who they are and faithfully steward the responsibilities God has entrusted to them.

That’s where the renewal of our nation must begin.
