Recently my wife and I saw the movie that’s out about President Ronald Reagan.
One of the things I noticed was how Reagan’s mother instilled in him the belief that God had a plan for his life.
As RR’s life unfolded, this conviction clearly had an impact on him…
… making him a man of principle, resolve, and vision.
Believing God has a plan for your life is important for anyone.
You don’t have to be in a high, visible position for it to matter.
It counts for all of us who live in obscurity too.
The Bible clearly reveals that God has a plan for each of us
The prophet Jeremiah speaks of God knowing the plan He has for His people (Jer. 29:11).
The Apostle Paul notes how the Lord has even prepared in advance good works for us to fulfill (Eph. 2:10).
And, I’d be remiss if I didn’t point out…
From the very beginning, God’s plan has been for all who bear His image to rule over and cultivate the earth in partnership with Him (Gen. 1:28; 2:15)..
Believing God has a plan for your life is essential for fulfilling the purpose He has for you.
You may not know the details of that plan…
… as they are still unfolding and known to God alone.
But faith that God intends to use your life for some good purpose is vital.
Through such faith, Ronald Reagan played a key role in the fall of communism in the Soviet Union.
It remains to be seen how God will work through each of us as we live with the confidence that He has a purpose for our lives today.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
