Why getting something done is so satisfying

by | Apr 15, 2024

Completing a job sure is satisfying, isn’t it?

It might be something simple like mowing the lawn…

Or it could be a much larger project taking months, even years, to finish.

In any case, getting it done sure feels good.

Why is that?

It’s because we’re made in God’s image.

After every day of creation God looked on what He made and called it good.

We do something similar with the jobs we complete.

Have you ever worked with someone on a task and wrapped it up by saying, ‘Let’s call it good’?

It’s due to the fact God made us to be co-creators who would develop the world with Him.

This is why in the beginning the world was not a finished product.

It was full of potential.

But — according to God’s plan — it needed humanity’s involvement and creativity to bring what He had designed to complete fruition.

This principle shows why we are satisfied when we accomplish something with our gifts…

It reflects our partnership with our Creator.

And it also explains why we’re unsettled when we have unfinished business.

So go after what God has given you to accomplish.
