I am not a golfer.
And I do not follow golf.
But I do know the winner of this year’s Master’s Tournament shared a message about his identity that everyone should take to heart.
Our core identity does not come from our gifts or accomplishments–or even winning the big prize.
It comes from being made in God’s image to serve Him.
Remembering this keeps us humble.
And will free you to do your best in whatever platform God gives you.
God gives some a platform that influences millions.
Yet for most it involves touching the lives of a relative small group of family, friends, fellow believers, neighbors, co-workers, customers, clients, patients, etc.
No matter where the Lord has called you to serve, keep in mind the foundation of your identity is in HIM.
And let your approach to everything follow from this.
It will give you the perspective you need when the pressure is on…
Put you in the best position to fulfill God’s intended purpose for your life…
And allow you to enjoy the unique place He has you in His kingdom.
