Is waiting holding you back?

Breakthroughs begin with faithful stewardship…

Men often delay thinking about the resources they don’t possess, the opportunities they wish they had, or the stage of life they’d like to be in.

Over time, this makes a man passive as he waits for clearer direction, better circumstances, or more resources before taking action.

But breakthroughs are rarely found in waiting for more.

More often, they’re found in using what God has already given.

Throughout the Bible, God consistently works through what appears small, ordinary, and insufficient.

Moses had a staff. David had a sling. A widow had a small jar of oil. A boy had a few loaves and fish.

The question was never, “What do you wish you had?” but, “What is already in your hand?”

God blesses faithful stewardship.

And every man already has something he can do now:

A responsibility to fulfill.
A relationship to strengthen.
A skill to develop.
A problem to solve.
A corner of creation to cultivate.

The dominion mandate in Genesis reflects this pattern.

God put Adam in a defined sphere and told him to cultivate and keep it.

The Garden served as a proving ground, because faithfulness begins in the place God has already assigned to us.

So instead of waiting for what you don’t have, ask yourself:

  • What responsibility is already mine?
  • What opportunity is already before me?
  • What can I faithfully cultivate right now?

Jesus said, “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much” (Luke 16:10).

So don’t despise the small things you can do now.

Ask God what He would have you do today.

He can do much with the man who just starts with what he has.
